Dao Duy Tu is a Vietnamese great celebrity, making a contribution to help the Nguyen Lord Nguyen Phuc Nguyen maintain his power in Dang Trong (southern provinces).

Dao Duy Tu was born in 1572 in the northern province of Thanh Hoa, but he began his career in Tung Chau village of Hoai Thanh commune, An Nhon District where he was buried after passing away in 1634. Dao Duy Tu’s tomb is now located in Phung Du hamlet, Hoai Hao commune, Hoai Nhon District.
