Volume of commodities transported to Quy Nhon Port raises 10%

Volume of commodities transported to QuyNhonPort in 2006 reached 2.68 million tons, an increase of 3% compared with the port’s plan and 10% compared with the same period last year. Out of them, export commodities accounted for 1.4 million tons, raising 29%. The rest were import and domestic commodities. The number of containerized commodities was up to 52,170 teus, raising 30%. Amount of ships transported to QuyNhonPort put up 1,110 turns, an increase of 7% compared to 2005.

In 2007, QuyNhonPort expects to achieve 2.9 million tons of commodities transported by this route. In the first day of New Year 2007, it discharged 3,000 tons of commodities.
