16:55', 24/10/ 2007 (GMT+7)

As reported, Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People's Committee, Vu Hoang Ha, on October 17 worked with the general director of Sai Gon Railway Passenger Transportation Company, Vu Ta Tung, on operating HCMC-Quy Nhon and Quy Nhon-HCMC high quality trains. This can meet demand of traveling of investors, tourists, and people in Binh Dinh, contributing to the provincial social-economic development. Binh Dinh Newspaper reporter interviewed him about the issue.

Q: Could you brief on the project? How is its feasibility?

A: The project has a very high feasibility. Moreover, it also receives the support of Binh Dinh's leaders and people because it is absolutely suitable to the strategic development of Binh Dinh and Vietnam Railway.

At the meeting with Binh Dinh Province People's Committee, we presented the preliminary plan. Under the project, Sai Gon Railway Passenger Transportation Company will cooperate with some partners, such as: Hoan Cau tourism joint stock company and railway transport and trade joint stock company, to invest in high quality trains daily departing at 4-5 pm in HCMC and Quy Nhon and arriving the final stations at 5-6 am in the next morning.

The trains will include ten air-conditioned cars with two soft seat, six sleeping, and two service cars involved. The quality will be equal or higher than HCMC-Nha Trang five-star trains. Our motto is quality and safety first. The first five-star HCM-Quy Nhon trains plans to be kicked off in May, 2008.

After the meeting, we signed a memorandum of understanding with partners for the conduction of project. All are being prepared carefully to fulfill requirements.

Q: Which best services can passengers be provided?

A: At present, there is no criterion in the railway transportation. We will, however, have our own criteria to best serve passengers. They will be announced later.

Q: Do you have any suggestion?

A:  With the support of Binh Dinh's authority and people, we do believe that the project will best meet the demand of traveling of passengers. It is surely successful, creating high effectiveness. We hope to receive much more valuable support.
