Hydroelectric plants to be built

Binh Dinh Province People's Committee has granted Vinh Son-Song Hinh Hydroelectric Joint Stock Company the investment license to conduct Vinh Son 2 and 3 hydroelectric projects worth VND1,785 (US$111,5 million).

Under the project, Vinh Son 2 and 3 hydroelectric plants will have the capacity of 80 and 12 MW, respectively. An area of 669 hectares in Communes of An Toan (An Lao District), Vinh Kim (Vinh Thanh) in Binh Dinh and Son Lang Commune, K'Bang District in Gia Lai Province will be used for projects.

Two plants are expected to be full operational in the fourth quarter of 2011.
