Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, Pham Van Thanh; Permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thien; and leaders of relevant bodies attended the kick-off.

The upgrade and expansion of Quy Nhon fishing port will be carried out on an area of 29,940 sq.m with the capital of VND32 billion (US$2 million). It will be conducted in the 2007-2010 period.

After the first phase conducted in the 2001-03 period had been finished, Quy Nhon fishing port has been operational, but it can't fulfill requirements now, which needs the upgrade and extension.
