Mr. Dinh: There were about 300 showrooms of enterprises from Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia at the trade fair this year. The fair located at Paksé-Champasak Commercial Centre, a modern well-equipped large 3-floor building with elevators and other modern facilities. The fair aimed to strengthen friendship and bilateral trade co-operation among countries in Southeast Asia, boosting up trade promotion, introducing economic potentialities, calling for investment into projects of the countries, etc. Organizers and relavant Laotian bodies and agencies prepared the fair very well, creating favourable conditions for the enterprises from the four countries.
The fair attracted a lot of visitors and customers. The organizers said that there were averagely 10,000 visitors and customers to the fair each day. Many activities on the fair agenda such as investment promotion seminar, trade promotion seminar calling for more investment into Laos, meetings among the enterprises from the four countries, etc. also took place there.

Mr. Dinh: Binh Dinh had 6 showrooms at the fair, the largest figure among Vietnamese participants. We introduced about geographical features, resources and natural minerals, economic potentialities of Binh Dinh, about its projects in need of more investments, particularly about Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and other industrial zones, about its tourist routes and spots, etc.
At the same time, we displayed some typical main products of Binh Dinh such as export wooden furniture, fine arts and crafts, granite, sugar, plywood, mechanical products, etc. The enterprises shown products of their strength such as Thuy Tai fish sauce, Bau Da wine, Ngoc Huong rice cakes, dried beef and venison, Huong Que fried sticky rice, tourist services and tours of Saigon-Quy Nhon Joint-stock Co.
Many products of Binh Dinh, particularly the wooden furniture, got great interest of the Laotian visitors and customers. It was noted that Permanent Vice Prime-Minister of Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Governor of Champasak Province and other officials of Champasak government visited the showrooms of Binh Dinh Province. Vietnamese Consulate General in Paksé-Champasak Nguyen Dang Chat also held a meeting with the delegation.
In my opinion, the Binh Dinh delegation gained the remarkable successes, especially in publicizing vision, the economic potentialities and projects in need of investments of the province to Champasak government and people in particular and the Laotian in general. These were part of effective implementation campaign within the frame of comprehensive co-operation agreement which had been signed by authorities of Binh Dinh and Champasak.
