Mr Nguyen Xuan Duong - provincial party committee secretary, chairman of provincial People’s Council surveyed the project of using land at Vung Chua-Xuan Van mountain (Quynhon city) yesterday afternoon (April 7).

At the Vung Chua mountain of Ghenh Rang ward, Mr Nguyen Xuan Duong steered Quy Nhon city’s leaders and other functional bodies to conduct the project, building some eco-tourism projects. Accordingly, he requested Planning-Investment Department (Dept.), Construction Dept., Tourism Dept., and Quy Nhon City People’s Committee to level and build a 35ha-ecological lake at the valley near the television tower, and beside it there will be a new urban area, hotels and restaurants, etc. The Quy Nhon plantation will be in charge of planting trees in the area. He also demanded functional bodies to project and build a water reservoir at the east-south of Vung Chua mountain where there is a 0,4ha-valley, a 250ha-Phu Hoa tourism area at the east-north, a telpher from Ba Hoa to Vung Chua mountains, and a system of observatory, television tower and other service for tourism, etc.

At the Vung Chua mountain of Quang Trung ward, Mr Nguyen Xuan Duong suggested Quy Nhon plantation conduct a project of eco-afforestation with the kinds of soil and climate-adapted trees.

He demanded Quy Nhon City People’s Committee to have responsibility for the compensation and clearance, and Planning-Investment Dept. and Tourism Dept. to be responsible for hiring domestic or foreign consultancies to project generally and in detail.
