Chairman of Binh Dinh province People’s Committee, Vu Hoang Ha, on July 7 received the high-ranking assistant to the CEO of Foxconn Technology Group (Taiwan) at the head office of Binh Dinh People’s Committee.
At the meeting, Mr. Vu Hoang Ha briefed on situations in Binh Dinh and the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, and the assistant also expressed the hope of investing in the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone. Two sides agreed to sign a memorandum with the key contents as follows: Binh Dinh province People’s Committee approved the Foxconn Group’s project to invest in the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone within 70 years. Accordingly, the Foxconn Group will invest in developing the infrastructure of the industrial zone on an area of 700 ha, build houses and service area for workers and a new urban on an area of 300 ha, and construct a resort along the Nhon Ly – Trung Luong coastal area with an area of 50 ha. The total investment capital of all projects is about US$1 billion. The Foxconn Group promised to conduct the survey and the investment project and to follow regulations of Vietnamese Government.
On the same day, representatives of Foxconn Group surveyed the Phuong Mai mountain to plan a tourism project in this area.
Foxconn Technology Group is a Taiwan-leading technology group, specializing in electronics and high-tech products for fields of telecommunications, information and technology, the industrial infrastructure, the urban, and education. Its annual turnover is over US$45 billion and there is a staff of 500,000 people worldwide.
