On the occasion ofMr. Anthony H.Long, Managing Directorof American ITC SPECTRUM, LLC (ITC) arrived Binh Dinh Province to make preparations for construction of Vinh Hoi Hotel Resort Complex Project in Cat Tien Commune, Phu Cat District. Binh Dinh Newspaper had an interview with Mr. Anthony H.Long in QuyNhonCity about this project.

Interviewer: Would you please introduce something about ITC operation?

Mr Anthony: Based in State of Nevada (USA) and with 35 years of operation, ITC have lots of experience in developing commercial services. ITC specializes in civil construction technology and retail. In Viet Nam, we established a Viet-My Tourism and Hotel Ltd. and got permission for investment in Vinh Hoi Hotel Resort project.

Interviewer: Why do you dicide to invest in Vinh Hoi- Cat Tien?

Mr Anthony:  We believe that Vinh Hoi-Cat Tien is one of the most beautiful bays in Viet Nam, has enormous potentiality for building resorts and high-class hotels of international stature. More importantly, the position is fairly separate so we musn’t share location with other partners. Hence, we feel favourable and comfortable to build a high-class tourist area with specific charecteristics that is different from other hotel resorts in the region.

BinhDinhProvince in general and Nhon Hoi Economic Zone in particular have been in strong pace of developments. We are very pleased to contribute to the process.

Interviewer: Would you please outline “a picture” of Vinh Hoi Hotel Resort?

Mr Anthony:  On 240.46 hecta of the project, we will build some resorts consisting of high-class hotels, villas, country-seats with total 1,020 rooms including 50 VIP rooms. Moreover, we also organize some entertainment services on seaside and on mountain, building a 18-hole golf-court and a port for yacht and sailing boat.

Interviewer: What have you done to promote the project?

Mr Anthony:  We got investment license by Nhon Hoi Economic Zone Administration (NEZA) on 11 December 2006. We have promoted some important works such as   surveying and examining the terrain, creating mechanical drawing in the ratio of 1 to 2000, forming detailed programming to submit for Binh Dinh Construction Department’s inspection and then submit to Binh Dinh Province People's Committee, completing investment project to submit NEZA, checking bombs and mines, razing to the ground, etc. The preparable process expects to complete in next months so that we can begin construction of project at the end of year.

Total investment for the project is USD 250 million and will divide into 2 period. The first begins from 2007 to 2010 with total investment USD 110 million.

Main tasks of this period includes: razing to the ground, constructing bridge, upgrading roads, building waste water treatment factory (in 2007); laying the foundations of a 300-room hotel, structuring outside for golf-court, laying the foundations of a 120-room villa hotel (năm 2008); completing externality of hotel, constructing golf-course and  entertainment building (2009); finishing interior decoration of the hotel, golf-course, trees growing, as well as preparing for hotels tocome into operation (2010).

The second period from 1011 to 2014 with total investment USD 140 million will complete the rest of works.

Interviewer: What problems do you worry about at that time?

Mr Anthony:  Firstly, there are few flights to BinhDinhProvince. Small size of planes to Binh Dinh also obstruct tourists to approach here. Now, there is still shortage of clean water to supply to our construction site. Moreover, Binh Dinh hasn’t got any hospitals of international stature. A poor quality of local manpower to staff project is also a big question for us now.
