Binh Dinh: Seminar on WTO commitment on agriculture held

Binh Dinh Agriculture and Rural Development Department coordinated with Planning and Investment Ministry’s Planning Department to hold a seminar with the topic “WTO commitment on agriculture – opportunities and challenges” on September 9.

More than 150 representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, National Agriculture Expansion Encouragement Center and relevant bodies and agencies attended the seminar.

At the seminar, Deputy director of MoPI’s Planning Department, Mrs. Pham Thi Tuoc, stated the impact and the agriculture development in Vietnam in general and in Binh Dinh in particular after WTO integration.

She also introduced WTO’s regulations and Government commitment on subsidized policies for agriculture, protective measures for domestic production, and opportunities and challenges when Vietnam integrated WTO.

Mrs. Pham Thi Tuoc presented some Binh Dinh’s seeds in agriculture and forestry with high capacity.
