Industrial production value up 30.2 percent

Binh Dinh Province People's Committee on January 10 held the meeting on the 2007's industrial production and tasks for 2007. Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People's Committee Le Huu Loc chaired the meeting.

Binh Dinh registered an industrial production value of VND4,826 billion in 2007, a surge of 30.2 percent over 2006. State owned enterprises were up 44.8 percent, private sector increased 28.5 percent, and foreign-invested one surged by 99.2 percent.

Binh Dinh is one of top ten provinces and cities registering a high industrial production value and the only province having the highest increase of the industrial production value in the key economic zone for Central region.

Binh Dinh's industrial production value plans to record at nearly VND6,400 billion in 2008, a year-on-year surge of 32.6 percent. To gain this aim, all relevant bodies and agencies cooperated with each other to create the most favorable conditions for the investment, calling on enterprises to apply advanced technologies for improvement.
