Tra Xom hydroelectric plant kicked off

The construction of Tra Xom hydroelectric plant was kicked off yesterday (Jan.17) in Vinh Son Commune of Vinh Thanh District. Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People's Committee Le Huu Loc attended the kick-off ceremony.

Tra Xom hydroelectric plan will be built within two years on Dak Son Lang river with the total capacity of 20 MW.

When being fully operational, Tra Xom hydroelectric plant will contribute to the development of West-North area in Binh Dinh, particularly in Districts of Vinh Thanh and Tay Son.

The plant is expected to be operational by late 2009.
