In mid-November, Binh Dinh delegation led by the Secretary of provincial Party Committee Vu Hoang Ha visited some southern provinces of China, participating in investment promotion activities. He spoke to Binh Dinh newspaper’s reporter about the visit.

Could you brief on the visit?

Before coming to cities of Guangzhou and Shenzhen of Guangdong province and Nanning city of Guangxi, two sides had agreed the plan. Coming there, however, we were really surprised with their preparations.

Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee and Hong Yeung Vietnam One-Member Co., Ltd successfully held the investment promotion conference with the help of Departments of Foreign Affairs in provinces of Guangdong and Guangxi and Consulates General of Vietnam in two provinces.

Nearly 500 investors coming from Guangxi and Sichuan provinces participated in the conference in Guangzhou. Participants raised many practical questions, showing that they were concerned of the investment environment in Binh Dinh.

Alongside contracts signed in the conference, many also expressed their wishes to seek investment opportunities in Binh Dinh in the coming time.

The Shenzhen Municipal Government and investors were greatly concerned of our investment promotion activities. They suggested that Shenzhen and Binh Dinh need to promote the cooperation.

Abestech Industry Co., Ltd was one of companies eyeing Binh Dinh as well as Nhoi Hoi Economic Zone (EZ). Hong Yeung and Abestech also signed a contract to rent land in the industrial zone B.

How about the cooperation with provinces of Guangdong and Guangxi?

Two provinces’ officials expressed the hope that provinces could cooperate with each other. We highly appreciated their concern. Actually, Binh Dinh can’t be compared with these provinces, but the cooperation is for fully development, meeting mutual benefits.

The authorities in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Nanning all required not only the economic cooperation but the cultural exchange.

The Vice Chairman of Shenzhen city also asked investors to build a Shenzhen hi-tech industrial park in Nhon Hoi EZ as in Hai Phong province. I invited the officials and investors to visit Binh Dinh in the near future.

I think that Binh Dinh should have more hi-tech zones named Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hainan, for example. This will show not only the economic cooperation but the exchange of all fields.

Many projects are expected to pour into Nhon Hoi EZ in the coming time. What we need to prepare for this?

The most important goal is that all key infrastructure works in Nhon Hoi EZ must be finished in the shortest time, particularly the drainage, telecommunication, power supply, and solid waste treatment.

Other projects such as the upgrade of road from Phu Cat airport to Nhon Hoi EZ, the number of flights from Ha Noi and HCM City to Binh Dinh need starting soon.

It’s necessary to have synchronous solutions for the construction of Nhon Hoi EZ. The Nhon Hoi EZ Administration, functional bodies, and local authorities have to closely cooperate with each other to effectively carry out their work.
