Binh Dinh Center for IT support and development (Cedasit) has built a GIS (Geographic Information Systems) map to help those who visit Binh Dinh find the information about Binh Dinh since 2007.

With only one click, the information about Binh Dinh tourism, including destinations, streets, bus and trains, tourism sites, and so on will be provided for visitors.

Tourists can find the GIS map with English and Vietnamese versions on the website www.binhdinhtourmap.vn.

The home page consists of items such as maps, landscapes, vestiges, craft villages, and services. When accessing the “map” item, for example, tourists can find the information about any destinations (Quang Trung Museum, Ham Ho tourism site, or Duong Long towers) just by clicking on its name.

To find the way to a destination, what is needed is just two clicks on the destination and the starting point, a blue line shows the direction; also, added information will be provided.

The website also includes 19 of 54 craft villages located in 8 Districts in Binh Dinh. 76 historical monuments are listed in this site alongside with the information about hotels, restaurants, and other services in Binh Dinh.

Traditional festivals in Binh Dinh like Dong Da-Tay Son festival, buffalo-stabbing festival, and Cho Go festival are mentioned in the website.

Binh Dinh specialities such as Cho Huyen fermented pork roll, Bau Da wine, and coconut girdle cake are a part of the “Land and People” item.

In the website, the information was updated daily, helping tourists know prices of services, the weather, new tourism sites, and tourism-related events, said Cedasit Director, Thai Hoang Uan.

We would add the instruction on how to use the map and new pictures illustrating items of vestiges and landscapes, he added.

The GIS map about Binh Dinh tourism is a packaged software that can be distributed to tourism sites, hotels, and restaurants. It helps tourists find the information about Binh Dinh tourism.
