* Could you brief on activities of the exhibition in the upcoming Festival?

Within the framework of Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival, provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam Craft Villages’ Association will hold the exhibition with two programs: the traditional craft village festival and Binh Dinh’s eating and drinking program.

There will be more than 100 stalls at the traditional craft village festival displaying typical products such as Bau Da wine, Song Than rice vermicelli, coconut matting, and so on. Nationwide well-known craft villages from Ha Noi, Ha Tay, Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan will also participate in the festival with their own products. Also, visitors will have a chance to watch the making of traditional products and join art performances.

The eating and drinking program will consist of Binh Dinh specialties such as My Cang rice pancake folded in half and Cho Huyen fermented pork roll. Besides, visitors will be able to enjoy special food of other provinces of Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, and Phu Yen.

* What is the purpose of the exhibition?

Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival aims to introduce Binh Dinh’s cultural features as well as its economic, cultural, and tourism potentials. The exhibition is expected to be an opportunity to introduce Binh Dinh’s products, further the trade promotion between Binh Dinh and domestic and foreign enterprises.

The exhibition is also an occasion to purchase traditional products, helping introduce typical cultural features of Binh Dinh. It will create many chances for craft villages to share experiences and seek opportunities and cooperation.

* How about the preparations?

Realizing the importance of Tay Son-Binh Dinh Festival, the organizing board built a detailed plan for the festival. At present, preparations for the exhibition have been carried out. Dao Tan Tuong Theatre and Bai Choi troupe have completed their program to perform at the exhibition. Other publications about craft villages have also been published.

Localities and those who will participate in the exhibition had their own tasks and all must finish their works as scheduled. The organizing board will fully rehearse all programs to ensure a successful event.

We are still, however, facing some difficulties, particularly the electricity supply. We are focusing on solving this problem to supply the electricity for the exhibition.
