In the first six months this year, the operation of Binh Dinh Manufacture Investment Service Import Export Corporation (PISICO) has stably run. At present, it is preparing for investment projects, both domestically and abroad. A speed-up has begun.
For the sustainable development, PISICO has strengthened its support and management for enterprises which didn’t operate effectively since 2006. This helped these enterprises well run again. PISICO also strengthened all agricultural products processing enterprises, promoting the cooperation to improve the capacity. They have become better now thanks to new measures.
The new way of management has recovered loss-making businesses. The connection among businesses proved effective, ensuring a stable and sustainable development, said Chief of board of directors, Nguyen An Diem.
PISICO’s projects invested in other provinces such as Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Can Tho, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau have reaped considerable profit, accounting for over 50 percent of its total profit.
It also aims to the target of 10-15 percent increase this year, ensuring the stable profit and income for the staff. PISICO is striving to solve issues of loss-making businesses and finance to focus on long-term projects. This is expected to make positive changes for the whole company.
A project of PISICO’s development to 2010 has being built, including some large-scaled plans which is expected to make a major breakthrough. It aims to further develop the international economic relations to attract the capital.
PISICO is now intensifying the progress of projects in Laos by admitting other partners. At present, it has prepared to build a wood processing plant in Canh Vinh industrial cluster in Van Canh District. Another project has also been carried out in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.
PISICO is now planning to form a joint venture to build ethanol processing plants in Binh Dinh and Attapeu province, Laos. It also planned to build a building in Sekong province to use it as the representative office in Southern provinces of Laos. The building will be used for other purposes, such as the trade center, hotel, and offices for rent. PISICO and some China investors are going to conduct a project of building a wood processing factory in Laos in the coming time.
Besides the titanium processing project and the villa project which are to be soon started, PISICO has also invested in building a supermarket in Binh Dinh town of An Nhon District. It participated in the upgrade of Thi Nai Port, let alone its business in Cat Nhon and Canh Vinh industrial clusters. All mentioned projects plan to be conducted in next two years.
