PM’s decisions on development of Binh Dinh

The Government Office has announced the PM Nguyen Tan Dung’s decisions, after his working visit to Binh Dinh on July 20, as follows:

1. PM agreed in principle to the extension of Quy Nhon city (merging Tuy Phuoc District and Quy Nhon city). Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Home Affairs will complete regulated formalities, submitting the proposal to the PM for consideration.

2. On the use of Government bonds to kick off the construction of Van Phong dam and waterway: Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will cooperate with each other to submit the proposal to the PM for consideration.

3. On the use of Government bond to build the road in the west of Binh Dinh province, aiming to aid disadvantaged Districts, national defense and security: Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Transport will consider the project and submit it to the PM for decision.

4. On the financial support of VND224 billion for the construction of the road linking Cat Khanh industrial cluster and Quy Nhon port: Ministry of Planning and Investment will cooperate with Ministry of Finance to submit the proposal to the PM for consideration.

5. On the financial support to lower the depth of the narrow passage to Quy Nhon port: Ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, and Transport will work together to soon submit the project to the PM for consideration.

6. On the use of budget and mobilization of enterprises’ subsidization to maintain the flying route from Phu Cat to Ho Chi Minh City: Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Transport will offer solutions and submit them to the PM for decision.

7. On the increase of investment capital for the construction of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone’s infrastructure till 2012: the PM agreed in principle to the proposal. Ministry of Planning and Investment and Ministry of Finance will submit the proposal to the PM for consideration.

8. On the extension of industrial division in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (from 1,070 hectares to 1,350 hectares): PM agreed in principle to the project and steered Ministry of Construction to urgently submit it to the PM for approval.

9. On the construction of Nhon Hoa and Hoa Hoi industrial zones relating to the cultivated land: Binh Dinh needs to carefully consider the plan even though it was under the plan.

10. On the construction of SOS Children Village and Quang Trung University on the cultivated land in Nhon Binh Ward of Quy Nhon city: it’s necessary to carefully consider the construction, minimizing the use of cultivated land. The PM agreed in principle to the project.

11. On the construction of Vinh Son hydroelectric plant 2: Ministry of Trade and Industry will work with provinces of Binh Dinh and Gia Lai to decide the project for the mutual benefit.

12. On the financial support of VND167.8 billion to upgrade 12 dykes in Districts of An Nhon, Tuy Phuoc, and Phu Cat: Ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, and Agriculture and Rural Development will submit the plan to the PM for consideration.

13. On the financial support for the price slippage in building schools and houses for teachers from 2008-2012: The PM agreed in principle to the project and steered Ministries of Finance, Planning and Investment, and Education and Training to make a summation to submit it to the PM for decision.

14. On the upgrade of Quy Nhon University and Binh Dinh Vocational Training High School: Ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, Education and Training, and Labor, War Invalids, and Social Welfare will make the proposal and submit it to the PM.

15. On difficulties in business loan: The State Bank of Vietnam and Binh Dinh will solve difficulties to supply enough capital for enterprises under the Government’s steering.
