The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and leaders of Quy Nhon city as well as Binh Dinh province geared up “Island of Youth” project on Cu Lao Xanh Island located in Nhon Chau commune.

Under the project, the “Island of Youth” will include six main works with a power system connecting from the national grid.

Also, modern means of transport including three vessels, a wharf, and a fleet of 10 fishing boats will be used to meet requirements of the project.

The infrastructure for daily cultural and sporting activities will be newly built, let alone a “Village of Youth” on an area of 10 hectares and fishing equipment for young pioneers settling on the island.

Cu Lao Xanh Island is located in Nhon Chau commune, which is 24 km far from Quy Nhon city.

The commune has a total area of over 450 ha, in which mountains and forest cover 75 percent of the area. Despite some difficulties, Cu Lao Xanh has many advantages for growth thanks to the sea resources and potential for the sea economic development and eco-tourism.

The project is expected to be implemented with the capital of over VND60 billion.
