The Forest Products Association of Binh Dinh Province (FPA Binh Dinh) on Oct. 31 held a meeting with the participation of all members.

According to the report, FPA Binh Dinh has asked the provincial People’s Committee, functional bodies, and banks to implement measures to assist timber exporters in the manpower training, production, and export procedures.

In addition, FPA Binh Dinh boosted the trade promotion and helped businesses improve their management capacity and technology.

The province’s timber sector has showed signs of recovery in the past two months; however, it is still facing many difficulties.

The total wood export turnover only reached nearly US$126 million in the past ten months, accounting for 49.7 percent of the yearly target.

Participants talked about some measures, such as coordination to reduce the production cost, highly qualified laborer training, advanced technology application, and trade promotion.
