A meeting on infrastructure construction in Nhon Hoi EZ was held in Quy Nhon city on Feb. 17. Chairman of the province’s People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien chaired the meeting with the participation of functional bodies.
The infrastructure was under construction last year with the total investment value of VND565 billion. Many factors have slowed down the progress, including inflation, price increase, the province’s changeable policies for compensation and resettlement, as well as planning.
At the meeting, many reports suggested solutions to promote the infrastructure construction. The budget for key infrastructure of Nhon Hoi EZ increased by six times this year, according to Man Ngoc Ly, head of Nhon Hoi EZ management board.
Provincial Chairman Thien said contractors now have many advantages to speed up the progress. Nhon Hoi EZ management board needs to build regulations on the cooperation with functional bodies, he added.
Thien also asked contractors to finish the key infrastructure this year and all by June, 2010.
