Binh Dinh Department of Natural Resources and Environment has continued carrying out the “cleaner production for cassava starch processing households” program.

The province’s management board for the “Strengthening Environmental Management and Land Administration in Vietnam” program (SEMLA) and other bodies have carried out the program in Hoai Hao cassava starch processing village, Hoai Nhon District, since November, 2007.

After being carried out at 10 households for one year, the program has helped cassava starch processing households in Hoai Hao improve their production, contributing to reduce the environmental pollution.

The province’s SEMLA management board and Department of Natural Resources and Environment decided to continue carrying out the program at more 26 households in the village.
