The representatives of Russia’s ALT Group, one of Khang Thong company’s partners, sought investment opportunities in Binh Dinh. Binh Dinh Newspaper’s Cat Hung had talks with an ALT’s representative, Gorgy Vychiranov, and Chairman of Khang Thong company, Phan Thi Phuong Thao.

Could you briefly introduce about ALT?

Moscow-base ALT Group was founded in 1993, mainly operating in fields of real estate, construction, agriculture, investment, finance and banking.

The Group has its affiliates in big cities in Russia. ALT has also invested in some countries, such as Yugoslavia and Turkey.

What do you think about ALT’s investment opportunities in Binh Dinh?

After visiting Nhon Hoi Economic Zone for two days, we highly valued its potential. With many advantages, including traffic, natural conditions, and incentive policies, Nhon Hoi EZ is really attractive to foreign investors.

ALT planned to invest in the non-tariff area with oil refinery project and seaport. We forecasted that the gasoline consumption, trade relations, and good exchange will further develop in Vietnam in the future.

How about ALT’s moves to invest in Binh Dinh?

This was only our first visit to seek investment opportunities. However, we realized the feasibility of projects which are planned to invest in Binh Dinh.

ALT hopes to return to the province in the earliest time to prepare for its investment projects.

Khang Thong company was licensed to invest in the non-tariff area in Nhon Hoi EZ with the biggest ever capital. How about the project implementation?

The company was licensed to invest in the non-tariff area six months ago, but the infrastructure construction has just been kicked off for three months because we had to finish other investment procedures.

Before deciding to invest in Nhon Hoi EZ, the company cooperated with many foreign investors in implementing big projects in Southern provinces.

We also had talks with ALT Group which has experiences in investing in deep water port and oil refinery plant.

PetroVietnam is much concerned of the project for its experts said the construction of an oil refinery plant in the non-tariff area is feasible.

What are the next steps?

We firstly need to complete all investment procedures and meet all Russian investor’s demands.

We then have to focus on strengthening the infrastructure construction in the non-tariff area, aiming to shorten the process and take full advantage of incentive policies.

We aim to finish the construction before the deadline, helping investors implement their projects soon.
