A trade fair showcasing high-quality Vietnamese goods is scheduled to take place in Quy Nhon city from July 14-19. Le Xuan Khue, member of the organization board, talks more about the issue.
High-quality Vietnamese products fair had been held in Binh Dinh many times, but it has been interrupted for several years. What are the reasons?
The fair was held in Binh Dinh for the first time in 2003 and it continuously took place from 2004 to 2006 at the province’s Center for Fair and Exhibition. It has gained considerable prestige since then.
The center has large premises which could be used to display hundreds of booths and organize other festivities.
Due to the ever-increasing demand for showcasing goods, the premises for the fair were also extended towards Truong Chinh street.
It’s a great pity that the center has been used as a makeshift market after the fire at Quy Nhon’s Cho Lon market in late 2006. There hasn’t been, thus, other premises big enough to hold high-quality Vietnamese products fairs.
Some small trade fairs have been held in Quy Nhon recently, but the locations where the fairs took place are too small to be used for a large-scaled fair.
Why was Binh Dinh selected as the venue for this year’s high-quality Vietnamese products fair?
Aiming to meet the demands of enterprises and consumers, we did some research at many locations in Binh Dinh.
The park near the Quy Nhon channel was then chosen as the venue to hold the fair thanks to its big space. However, it will still need upgrading to ensure a good fair.
Compared with previous fairs, is there anything special in this year’s fair?
We have upgraded many items, aiming to bring the best conditions to enterprises and consumers. Most facilities were imported from China’s Guangzhou province and Germany.
The fair will include different programs, such as “Activate your brand name” for businesses, “loan in 24 mins” by Dong A bank, “sample black sesame”, “Redbull’s funny dances”, and other events.
Also, there will be workshops to support woodwork processing enterprises and training courses providing sales techniques for businesses.
Alongside high-quality Vietnamese product award-winning enterprises, will Binh Dinh’s businesses also have opportunities to join the fair?
Binh Dinh-based enterprises will be offered 20 free booths to display their high quality products, including Song Thang rice vermicelli, Go Gang conical hat, Bau Da wine, wooden furniture, Binh Dinh specialties, and different kinds of goods.
