Chanh Thang tourism complex project invested by Van Lang Joint Stock Company was ratified in December last year. Once completed, it will contribute to the socio-economic development in Phu Cat district.
The project worth over 20 billion VND will be built on an area of 103 ha along the Chanh Thang stream with such main items as mineral water plant, eco-tourism complex, and various services for tourists.
The construction will also focus on some issues, including environmental sanitation and natural landscape protection. The project is expected to be implemented in two years, 2010-2011.
To prepare for the construction, the local authorities carried out the land clearance and built the traffic system around the planned area.
The district and contractors cooperated to raise the local people’s awareness of the effectiveness of the project, aiming to encourage them to create favourable conditions for the land clearance, said deputy head of the district’s land clearance board Tran Xuan Hao.
Many said that the tourism complex would help improve the traffic system and create jobs for the locals, Hao added.
The land clearance and compensation were finished with one months. A road with the length of 2.6 km is now under construction.
When completed, the project is expected to boost the local socio-economic development, said vice chairman of Cat Thanh commune’s People’s Committee Mai Van Be.
In the short term, the construction of the road connecting the highway No 639 with far and remote areas. In the long term, the project will create jobs for local people and explore the district’s potential for growth.
