A groundbreaking ceremony of a non-tariff zone and a deep-water port in the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone was held on January 20 in the central province of Binh Dinh. This is a breakthrough in calling for investors to pour capital into the Economic Zone and other industrial zones.
The project, which covers an area of 600 hectares, will provide a variety of services including export-import, biotechnology, information technology, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, new material technology, consumer goods, construction materials, agro-forestry and fisheries processing, and banking and finance.
Khang Thong Construction - Trading - Service Joint Stock Company was licensed to invest in the non-tariff zone, the industrial park in association with the deep-water port.
The project is expected to create a driving force for the socio-economic development in Binh Dinh and its neighboring provinces.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien praised the all-out effort of the main investor, asking it to synchronously implement the project.
He also asked Binh Dinh Economic Zone Authority to closely coordinate with functional bodies to foster the compensation, land clearance, and resettlement, aiming to create the most favorable conditions for the investor.
Also at the ceremony, Khang Thong Company and several Russian strategic investors signed a memorandum of understanding on the implementation of an oil refinery project in Nhon Hoa Economic Zone.
