The JWD Industries Vietnam on January 26 was licensed to build a garment plant in the central province of Binh Dinh.

The Korean investor Jeon Kil Soon, the project owner, will invest US$4.8 million in building the plant on an area of 5 hectares in Phu Cat district-based Cat Nhon industrial park.

The plant is expected to be fully operational by January next year.

The same day, Ha Noi-based Nuoc Xang hydroelectric joint stock company was granted license to implement the Nuoc Xang hydroelectric project in the province.

The project having the designed capacity of 4.8MW will be built in An Lao district. The VND106 billion-plant is expected to generate 16.868 million Kwh of electricity per year after being in full operation in three years.
