The detailed construction plan of the International Center for Interdisciplinary Scientific Meetings was approved, announced the Binh Dinh People’s Committee on September 30.
Accordingly, the International Center for Interdisciplinary Scientific Meetings will be built at Ghenh Rang ward, Quy Nhon city with total planning area of 184.000 s.q meters.
The Recontres du Vietnam which is chaired by the Vietnamese French Professor Tran Thanh Van will invest US$ 6 million in building the centre.
The centre is expected to satisfy the demand for scientific information, knowledge and experience exchange. It will be served as a venue for conferences, workshops or short-term training courses on natural sciences and high technology, cooperation with domestic and foreign universities and scientific and technological consultancy and transfer.
The center will be built in July or August 2011, said Prof. Tran Thanh Van in a meeting with the provincial People’s Committee on September 27.
The Recontres du Vietnam had granted 15 scholarships to students of Quy Nhon University and other scholarships for high school students with the total value of nearly VND 300 million, reported Van at the meeting.
