Over 200 experts and provincial leaders attended the workshop.

The construction belongs to the Mui Tan services and tourism project.

The Royal Haskoning consultancy firm presented its studies on the planning for the construction of Mui Tan artificial island.

According to their studies, the 12-ha island which will include hotels and tourism services will not only become an attractive destination but effectively explore the tourism potential around the area at which the statue of Tran Hung Dao is located and connect to the Hai Giang tourism route in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.

The island construction won’t also hide the Quy Nhon Port’s entrance for foreign ships, according to the consultancy firm.

The participating experts highly valued the investor’s plan and agreed the results of the studies.

However, many still doubted if the construction will badly affect the environment as well as some related issues.
