The Binh Dinh Industry Promotion Center has invested over VND10 billion in implementing many industry promotion programs in the past five years, contributing to the rural development.
Binh Dinh sees many craft villages; however, some of them are facing the risk of sinking into oblivion due to the severe competitiveness of the market economy.
The province’s industry promotion has carried out a series of projects, aiming to help craft villages improve the quality of their products, designs, and means of production.
As for the human resources, the center gave priority over vocational training courses. The vocational training for rural people was also connected with enterprises, helping nearly 4,000 people find suitable jobs after attending vocational training courses. Many private firms have contributed to the poverty alleviation at localities where they are operating.
Also, the province’s industry promotion programme successfully applied the technical performance models and technology transfer, saving expenses and minimizing the environmental pollution.
Thanks to the financial assistance from the center, companies of all kinds are able to easily access to new markets, expand their production, and invest in industrial clusters.
With the help from the center, the Hoai Chau Bac power cooperative has gradually modernized the making of sedge mat, according to the cooperative’s Chief Nguyen Chau Long.
Using the financial assistance of nearly VND2 billion, the industry promotion programme will continue to support the vocational training in manufacturing traditional fine-art handicrafts in Hoai Chau commune, mother-of-pearl inlaid articles, and bamboo products.
The programme will also assist investors in implementing some projects, including the modernization of the making of sedge mat in Hoai Nhon, wastewater treatment, and manpower training in districts of Phu Cat, Quy Nhon, and Tay Son.
The province’s industry promotion has been on its way, boosting the development in rural areas, according to vice director of Binh Dinh Department of Industry and Trade, Nguyen Van Thang.
Under the industry promotion programme, small-scale industries and craft villages have been strongly recovered. More than 14,500 small-scale manufacturers are now operating, attracting over 36,400 laborers and generating the industrial production value of VND793 billion.
The development in rural areas could be seen through the improvement of people’s income and the rural infrastructure.
