The management board of Phu Cat–based WB3 afforestation project has stated the district will target new 700-hectare area of afforestation at communes of Cat Lam, Cat Tai, Cat Nhon, Cat Son, Cat Hung, Cat Hiep, Cat Khanh and Cat Thanh this year.
The district's WB3 project management board is preparing favourable conditions for the efficient realization of the scheme.
Under the WB3 project, a total area of afforestation in Phu Cat has so far reached 2,588 hectares since the past 5 years. 1,868 local households over 11 communes have benefited from the World Bank-funded project. More than 22.6 billion VND (1,193,241 USD) has been disbursed, helping the households manage the afforestation.
