Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province Le Huu Loc and his entourage went on an inspection tour about the construction of Nhon Hoa and Hoa Hoi industrial zones on June 7.

As for the Hoa Hoi IZ project, an area of 76.4 ha has been cleared so far and an amount of VND14.8 billion was set aside for the compensation.

The construction has also been carried out; however, the progress fell short of expectations owing to difficulties in the ground clearance and the lack of expenditure for compensation.

The Nhon Hoa IZ saw a clearance of 95.4 ha in the first phase. Its progress is expected to meet the deadline, but the construction of the resettlement area in the Nhon Hoa IZ is partly affecting its second phase.

Loc asked the contractors and local authorities to focus on boosting the progress. The ground clearance and compensation at Hoa Hoi IZ must be strengthened while the resettlement area construction needs finishing soon for the second phase of the implementation of Nhon Hoa IZ.

The province’s EZ Authority was also required to monitor two projects more closely, creating favourable conditions for the contractors.
