MoU on building thermoelectric plant, oil refinery signed

The People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province, STFE Co. Ltd, and Rayong Purifier Public Company Limited on July 21 signed a memorandum of understanding on building a thermoelectric plant and an oil refinery in the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.

 

Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien (L) and Mr. Viravat Cholvanich signed the MoU.

 

Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Vu Hoang Ha, provincial Chairman Nguyen Van Thien, provincial Vice Chairman Le Huu Loc, and the CEO of Rayong Purifier Public Company Limited and STFE Co., Ltd, Viravat Cholvanich, attended the ceremony.

Accordingly, the oil refinery will generate 3 tons per year in the first phase and increase to 6-8 tons each year later.

The project is expected to be implemented within two years after all administrative procedures are finished by the second quarter of 2011.

The thermoelectric plant is designed to have the initial capacity of 700 MW and its capacity will then be improved to meet the actual demand.
