Dai Son water reservoir inaugurated

The Dai Son water reservoir and Cay Sung irrigation work were put into operation in Phu My district yesterday (September 9).

Deputy Head of mission of the Embassy of Belgium in Vietnam, Patrick de Bouck, Deputy Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Thanh Tung, and provincial Vice Chairman, Ho Quoc Dung, attended the inauguration ceremony.

The water reservoir and irrigation work which belong to the Belgium-funded agricultural productivity improvement project have been implemented in Phu My since November, 2005 with the total capital of over VND44.3 billion.

The operation of the water reservoir and irrigation work is expected to improve the agricultural production in communes of My Hien and My Loc and promote the community-based management capacity on irrigation and technology for agriculture.

On the sam day, permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Le Huu Loc received Mr. Patrick de Bouck.

Provincial Vice Chairman Loc highly appreciated the Belgian Government’s support for the upgrade of Dai Son water reservoir and Cay Sung irrigation work in Binh Dinh.

Mr. Patrick de Bouck expressed many thanks to the province’s leaders as well as the local authorities for their concern and cooperation in implementing the project.

He also said that the localities benefiting from the project should well manage the works.
