Binh Dinh has gradually resolved difficulties, asking investors to speed up the progress of tourism projects.
According to the statistics released by Binh Dinh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the number of tourists coming to the province has annually increased by 22.1 percent in the past five years. The tourism turnover earned a rise of 24.8 percent.
There were some 897,396 tourists coming to Binh Dinh in the first 9 months of 2011, a surge of 19 percent over the same period last year. At present, the province sees more than 108 hotels of all kinds, including four 4-star hotels.
The local tour operators have offered various types of tours to visitors, attracting more and more domestic and foreign tourists to come to Binh Dinh. Also, other destinations, such as Ghenh Rang, Ham Ho, Quang Trung Museum, and Han Mac Tu’s tomb, have been upgraded, better serving all visitors.
The local authorities also asked relevant bodies to resolve difficulties, speeding the progress of tourism projects, including Vinh Hoi resort, Ghenh Rang tourism site, Bai Ngoc resort, and night market.
Other tourism projects are expected to be carried out in the coming time, such as Mui Tan Island, Vietnam Pearl, and Hai Giang resort, let alone different tourist services.
Binh Dinh is focusing on the tourism sector as the key factor for the province’s socio-economic development. In the next five years, the province will actively attract more investment projects and implement some important ones, consisting of tourism routes of Quy Nhon-Song Cau, Nhon Ly – Cat Tien, Trung Luong – Vinh Hoi and Phu Hoa Lake tourist complex.
Its authorities will also strengthen the tourism cooperation programs with provinces of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum as well as southern provinces of Laos and northeastern provinces of Thailand.
