The organizing board of the first Vietnam forest product festival held a meeting with the representatives of local businesses on March 10.
Provincial Chairman Le Huu Loc, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, and 100 representatives of local wood manufacturers attended the meeting.
The organizing board briefed the participants on the preparation for the festival which is scheduled to take place in Quy Nhon from March 26-28.
Speaking at the meeting, provincial Chairman Loc highly appreciated all participants’ efforts, saying that the festival is a big event honoring the forestry sector and those who have greatly contributed to the sector’s sustainable development.
The festival will also be a chance for cooperation among domestic and foreign businesses, he added. The local businesses were asked to actively join the event, aiming to prove that Binh Dinh deserve to be one of wood processing hubs in Vietnam.
Many businesses expressed their agreement and promised to join the festival. A total of over 7 billion VND has been donated to the event so far.
