Quy Nhon hosts workshop on PCI
14:20', 26/4/ 2011 (GMT+7)

The workshop on improving Binh Dinh Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2011 co-organized by provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) took place in Quy Nhon today (Apr.26).

The workshop aims to evaluate last year’s PCI and propose measures to improve 2011’s PCI in Binh Dinh.

Many regulations on administrative reform have been implemented in Binh Dinh, let alone documents aiming to explicit administrative procedures.

The “one-door” mechanism was also set up in 2007, helping people easily set up their own businesses.

The local authorities have actively cooperated with each other to resolve any difficulties and simplify all formalities.

However, what has been achieved still fell short of expectations. In 2010, Binh Dinh ranked 20th among 63 provinces and cities, dropping 13 places from 2009 according to the VCCI report.
