Binh Dinh has gradually integrated into the world economy, making massive changes in all fields. However, the local authorities and relevant bodies are still required to make more efforts for further development.

The province has synchronously carried out many measures, focusing on administrative reform, internal strength of the economy, and expansion of investment cooperation, in the past four years.

The local businesses are now benefiting from the province’s policies, helping them improve competitiveness, apply advanced technologies, reduce expenditure, and increase the quality of their products.

Many trade promotion programs were carried out in key markets, attracting many big projects to the province. There have been, for example, 39 FDI projects worth US$617 million invested in Binh Dinh so far. Among them, 32 are 100 percent-foreign invested projects.

However, the province’s international economic integration issue has still seen some shortcomings.

The issue hasn’t got special concern from some bodies and localities; thus, the relevant tasks were not efficiently done.

The efficiency could be seen in many fields, including administrative reform, brand name construction, ISO management system, and the staff’s qualifications.

The province’s Steering Board for international economic integration will continue boosting the popularization of the issue, trade promotion activities, and cooperation for the market expansion, according to Director of Industry and Trade Department, Nguyen Kim Phuong.

The administrative reform as well as preferential policies and environment will also be continued, he added.

Also, the National Committee for International Economic Integration was asked to assist Binh Dinh in opening training courses on tax, customs, contract negotiation, anti-dumping, and trade disputes for businessmen and functional bodies.
