The high-quality Vietnamese product fair opened on yesterday (June 28) in Quy Nhon city. It marks the 7th time Binh Dinh province has hosted the event and the 15th anniversary of High Quality Vietnamese Goods Promotion Program.
Practical activities
Theme of the fair this year is “strengthen vitality of made-in Vietnam goods through Vietnamese creativeness: new products”, says Mr. Le Xuan Khue, Director of VietGoods Co., vice organizer of the fair. It is an occasion to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam High Quality Goods Promotion Program (1997-2011). It also partly contribute to push up campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize use of Vietnamese goods” launched by Political Bureau of Vietnam Communist Party Central Committee. So, the organizers decide to add more new and impressive activities to the fair this year so that it will be a bigger event than previous years. The fair hosts 400 kiosks of 150 enterprises who gains the title Vietnam high quality goods.
The most attractive decoration in the fair is a house for display of the enterprises’ new and special products.
There is also a “centre of media – enterprise” for display press clippings and video clips about the Vietnam High Quality Goods Promotion Program over the past 15 years.
All of the fair’s activities are being updated by Vietnamese mass media.
Strengthen vitality of the made-in-Vietnam goods
What is the reason behind the theme “Strengthen vitality of the made-in-Vietnam goods through new products? Competition among the enterprises has become more and more severe due to Vietnam economy’s difficult current situation while Vietnamese customers tighten their pockets. The enterprises must try harder. A wide survey in 2010 revealed that most of the Vietnamese customers found the Vietnamese goods wasn’t new and creative enough. The newness, thus, is now the key of success for Vietnamese goods and services.
Facing such challenges, High Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprise Association decides to organize a program on new product development in 2011, via 4 activities: support for market researches; provide knowledge and facilitate processes, procedure of developing the new products; support for promotion, advertising and public relation; support for sale. In this fair, the organizers take 2 important responsibilities: help the enterprises which have new products; do researches on the customers and push up the advertising of the new products.
Binh Dinh-based enterprises are certainly given more strength. Besides recognized enterprises such as BIDIPHAR, Muoi Thu, Thuy Tai, Bon Phuong, many new comers from the province are helped by the organizers to introduce their products and services. 40 kiosks are available for the Binh Dinh-based enterprises to get closer to the title Vietnam high quality goods which is recognized by the customers. Binh Dinh Bau Da Wine Production and Trading Association is expected to introduce Bau Da brand name wine, a famous provincial specialty, and display method of making the wine.
A gala “Vietnamese goods accompanies Vietnamese fishermen to open sea” within frame of a program “Side by side with the fishermen to head high seas” will take place on the occasion of the fair. The program aims to call people’s voluntary contribution to the fishermen who are practicing fishing on sea and protecting the nation’s marine territory.
The program aims to establish a credit fund for the fishermen, implement a project of nutrition enhancement for the fishermen’s children, offer scholarships for the fishermen’s children, give Vietnamese goods to Ly Son islanders and the fishermen, etc. The fishermen from provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen, who are fishing on Vietnamese waters at Spratly and Paracel Islands are the first prioritized beneficiaries. The organizers extract 500 VND/each entrance ticket to the fair to fund the program while the enterprise participants of the fair deduct part of their turnovers to finance the program. |
