Quy Nhon Port earns 65 pct of yearly target

According to the statistic released by Quy Nhon Port, the total volume of cargoes handled at Quy Nhon Port reached 3.060 million tonnes in the first six months of 2011, rising by 24 percent compared to the same period last year and accounting for 65 percent of the yearly target.

The leaders of Quy Nhon Port one-member Co., Ltd worked out many measures to improve the infrastructure, add more facilities, and promote marketing activities, aiming to overcome the global economic recession.

The company, for example, bought some new heavy load trucks, container trucks, and other equipment to improve the capacity and ensure the safety of cargoes.

It also follows the State’s regulations on export and import activities to offer more services. In addition, it frequently monitors the production process, labor safety, and improves the quality management process under the ISO 9001:2008 standard.
