THE SUB-PROJECT ON LA TINH IRRIGATION SYSTEM:
Construction of 10 packages of building tender finishes

10 of 36 packages of building tender within framework of the sub-project on La Tinh irrigation system, whose construction are expected to finish by the end 2011, have already finished, says Binh Dinh Irrigation Project Management Board (PMB).

Among them, 4 packages of building tender have been checked and taken over, put into operation. Total value of the 10 packages in term of construction costs at present is 202.373 billion VND (excluding additional budget and subsidies).

Building executors have pushed up progress rate of the rest packages, ensuring safe flood tests and on time construction by the end of this year.

The sub-project, whose total budget is at 382.565 billion VND, comprises components: upgrade and build 133.2km of canal and works over the canal; improve and upgrade 25km of dyke at lower section of La Tinh river; upgrade Gay Gai dam gates; build up Cay Ke dam; reinforce Hoi Son reservoir; repair Suoi Tre spillway at the lower section.

The project is expected to provide irrigation water for 3,300 hectares of farming land and 300 hectares of aquaculture farming when it finishes.
