Could you reveal some key programs of the center?
The center has coordinated with the provincial media agencies to propose tourism promotion programs on the mass media.
It also had many books on tourism republished, focusing on the tourism activities. In addition, when joining the Tourism Day in HCM City, the center’s stall attracted more than 1,000 visitors.
Recently, the centre organized a journey to study the capacity of some typical martial arts clubs, aiming to serve the tours in Binh Dinh. The program is expected to improve the competitiveness of Binh Dinh tourism, contributing to preserve the province’s traditional martial arts.
We also cooperated with Da Nang-based Commercial College to open a tourism course for 26 people who are staff of travel agencies and hotels in Quy Nhon.
What do you think about the effectiveness of the center’s Familization trip (FAM trip)?
The center organized two FAM trips in Binh Dinh last year, including one for journalists in Ha Noi and another for journalists in HCM City.
These helped them know more about the province’s potential and advantages in tourism. Furthermore, the trips served as a promotion activity, attracting tourists in two big cities. As a result, the number of tourists coming to Binh Dinh from Ha Noi and HCM City has considerably increased.
Will the FAM trip be continued in the coming time?
The center will organize another FAM trip in Binh Dinh next month with the participation of travel agencies in some provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Kon Tum. We realized the Central Highlands region is a potential market for Binh Dinh’s tourism as tourists living in the region always love sea and Binh Dinh is the nearest destination.
In late August, the center will also hold a roadshow program in HCM City, aiming to popularize Binh Dinh’s potential, advantages, services, and typical events in 2012.
How about other programs?
The center will continue boosting propagation activities on the mass media, focusing on tourism markets in HCM City, Ha Noi, and Central Highlands region.
Also, it will coordinate with Vietnam Television Station and HCM City Television Station to broadcast 8-10 programs about Binh Dinh tourism.
At present, the center has prepared for International Tourism Exhibition held in HCM City in the coming time.
