More than 30 billion VND invested to repair, upgrade Dong Dyke

Binh Dinh Department of Irrigation, Dyke and Flood & Storm Prevention and Control had invested more than 30 billion VND to upgrade 11 works of Dong Dyke, said Mr. Phan Xuan Hai, head of the department. The costs were covered by the provincial and central budgets.

The works included flood discharge outlet at Vinh Quang hamlet, flood spillway at 2 hamlets of Vinh Quang 1 and Vinh Quang 2, Huynh Gian Dyke at Phuoc Hoa commune,; 2 flood spillways of Loc Thuong and Duong Thien at Phuoc Son commune; Phuoc Thang Dyke and Ong Thieng Sewer at Phuoc Thang commune, Tuy Phuoc district; Nhon Binh Dyke at Quy Nhon city; Dap Moi flood spillway (section from Phuoc Thang commune, Tuy Phuoc district to Cat Chanh commune, Phu Cat district)…Most of the works have been so far repaired and upgraded, partly preventing salt invasion and flood, protecting thousands of households at Dong zone of Tuy Phuoc and Phu Cat districts, Quy Nhon city.
