In the second excavation of the Duong Long towers carried out by Binh Dinh Museum Department and the Southern Social Sciences Institute’s Archaeology Research Centre, archaeologists identified the original foundations of the Duong Long towers as the existing ones, said Binh Dinh Department of Culture and Information at the press conference held on October 26.

Also, archaeologists found more unique architectural features of Duong Long towers.

The excavation was mainly carried out in the east and south areas of the three mighty Duong Long towers in Tay Binh Commune, Tay Son District. Archaeologists unearthed four holes with the total area of 1,088 sq.m.

The findings will help restore the Duong Long towers in the near future.
