Binh Dinh Information and Culture Department on November 9 held a press conference, announcing results of the 4th archaeological excavation of King's citadel in Nhon Hau Commune, An Nhon District, carried out by Vietnam Archaeology Institute and Binh Dinh Museum in the past two months.
The excavation unearthed many architectural vestiges of the old palace and foundation of the harem. The findings prove a complete plan of the King's citadel under Tay Son dynasty.
At the excavation site at Go Chua, situating in the Ngoai citadel, archaeologists found architectural vestiges of Nam Giao altar, providing evidence of Nam Giao altar in the King's Citadel, which was previously theoretical predictions.
