Binh Dinh Department of Culture and Information and An Nhon District People's Committee on December 25 held a ceremony to receive the statue of Vo Duy Duong at Vo Duy Duong temple in Nhon Tan Commune of An Nhon District.
Vice Chairman of provincial People's Council, Nguyen Ngoc Tro; representatives of provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and An Nhon District People's Committee and those who are of Vo clan attended the ceremony.
After the ceremony had solemnly taken place, speeches were delivered to honor the hero Vo Duy Duong, who had many contributions in the anti-French resistance war.
The bronze statue of Vo Duy Duong was offered by Vietnam History Science Society, aiming to honor his contributions to the country and educate the young generation on the patriotic tradition.
Representatives of An Nhon District People's Committee and Vo clan gave many thanks to Vietnam History Science Society and provincial People's Committee for their concern for the hero Vo Duy Duong.
