On 30th March (or 12th of the second lunar month), at Tam Toa temple, local fishers of Hai Can District, Quy Nhon City, solemnly organized 2007 Cau Ngu Festival. Rites such as sacrifice ceremony, the God praizing ceremony and greeting the Fish God to the temple with “ba trao” chanty, a kind of traditional songs performed in such ritual Cau Ngu Festival, were held. Tuong, a Vietnamese classical drama art, was also performed to serve the local people.

This is a traditional festival with strongly distinguished nuance of the local fishers’ belief. It is held annually to pray for good weather, calm sea and good fishing harvest.
