In the afternoon May 31st, the 120th death anniversary of Mai Xuan Thuong patriot (1887-2007) was held at his tomb in Hoa Son Village, Binh Tuong Commune, Tay Son District, Binh Dinh Province.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Pham Van Thanh - Standing Deputy Province Committee Secretary, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tro - Standing Vice President Provincial People's Council, Ms Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, also chief of organization committee as well as leaders of relevant bodies and agencies, former provincial leaders and people.
At the ceremony, Ms Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh reminisced about glorious achievements of the Can Vuong’s anti-French movement that was leaded by outstanding leader Mai Xuan Thuong in Binh Dinh Province. Though be defeated, the Can Vuong movement had represented resilient and courageous spirit of Binh Dinh people.
Then all the attenders at the ceremony burned incense to commemorate Mai Xuan Thuong patriot at his tomb.
