A stone antique which looks like a pyramid was found at the area of Xuan My mountain (Xuan My hamlet, Phuoc Hiep commune, Tuy Phuoc district of Binh Dinh province). It’s 1,8 meter high, in which the square sole is 80 cm wide and 28 mm thick and there are 8 patterns of lotus petals carved on it. On the peak of this antique is the simile of a Linga which looks like an 8-side-cone. The higher it comes, the smaller it is.
This antique on June 13 was taken to the Phuoc Hiep commune’s People’s Committee. Besides the pyramid, there are many broken Cham bricks which are the vestige of an old Cham tower and many terra cotta made relievos used to decorate the tower but they were broken.
French archaeologists mentioned a Cham tower called Xuan My tower in their research. 20 years ago, this tower had been found disappeared when there was an investigation on the system of Cham relics in Binh Dinh. This tower has its age from the first half of the 19th century, being similar to the age of the Binh Lam tower (Phuoc Hoa commune), according to Dr. Dinh Ba Hoa – vice-director of Binh Dinh provincial museum).
