On June 19, Tay Son District's authorities celebrated the 254th birth anniversary of King Quang Trung (1753-2007) at the Quang Trung Museum, with the presence of leaders from Tay Son district and communes, neighbouring towns and Kien My villagers. They reminded themselves of King Quang Trung’s life and career - a national hero who led Tay Son movement against the Siamese invaders (1785) and the Chinese Ching invaders (1789) - which achieved many brilliant feats of arms and united the nation two centuries ago.
The leaders then offered flowers at the Monument and thurified at Tay Son three-hero Shrine.
