The photo en-titled Thoi trang Elnino (Elnino fashion), by the photographer Dao Tien Dat, won the FIAP bronze medal at the 2007 International Photo Exhibition and Competition held in Vietnam.
The International Photo Exhibition and Competition with the theme “For a better life on Earth” was organised by the Viet Nam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) and under the artistic direction of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).
After being launched for 4 months, over 5,700 photos by 1,042 photographers coming from 23 countries and territories were submitted to the competition. There were 4,986 photos by 894 Vietnamese photographers.
The exhibition displayed 308 photos, including 31 FIAP’s and VAPA’s award winning photos. Nhip Song Mien Bien (Life rhythm in coastal region) by photographer Tran Thi Tuyet won the FIAP silver medal. Two other photographers Dao Tien Dat and Nguyen Thanh Hai received bronze medals for their photos, Thoi Tran Elnino (Elnino fashion) and Quyet thang (To be determined to win), respectively.
Elnino fashion aims at conveying the message of the environment, according to the photographer Dao Tien Dat.
